In And Out

This is a good time to revisit what Pathan had said after the game against Kolkata about his partnership with Sreesanth - "I bring it in and he moves it out. It's a good combination, isn't it ?"

Indeed. A couple of years ago I had thought that this potentially lethal combination would serve India well for years. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then and both have gone through major ups and downs (more downs, perhaps, particularly in Irfan's case) but fortunately now for the Punjab team both seem to have got their act together and are combining well. Sreesanth was oh-so-freakingly-magnificent against Bangalore - it was almost like seeing Allan Donald again, and for Pathan that legendary in-dipper is back as his ball to Brad Hogg showed. It's good times for Indian cricket again, for not only do they form a very effective combination, together they are a beautiful sight to watch. One right-arm, the other left, one brings it in, the other out and both have lovely smooth rhythmic actions.
